Oliver Williamson’s “transaction costs” (TCE) approach has defined roots. These roots are evident in the original statements and in how Williamson himself portrays the main claim. The impacts of TCE are far-reaching, but the models are curious – when trying to apply them to familiar problems in the public sector.
